Motion that carries a message, wired to the strategy and product it is selling.
Animated content that makes complex ideas land fast. Built inside your growth program, your site, or your launch, so the motion actually moves a metric instead of sitting in a deck.
Motion graphics sit inside our Creative Studio, one of the four studios under Rule27's roof. That placement matters. We do not run motion as an isolated production line you brief and forget. We build it as the craft that ships inside an engagement: the explainer that lives on a landing page our growth team is already ranking, the product animation that clarifies a feature the engineering studio just built, the brand motion that carries a positioning line our strategy studio wrote. Creative, growth, engineering, and strategy work as one team, so a piece of motion knows what it is supposed to do before the first frame is drawn.
The strongest proof of what we make is the site you are reading. The motion on rule27design.com is our own Creative Studio dogfooding its capability. The transitions, the reveals, the way the interface responds, that is the work, live and in production, not a reel of past clients. When you evaluate our motion, you are looking at it, not a case study about it.
This service is for teams who need animation to do a job: simplify a product that is hard to explain, give a brand a consistent motion language across video and interface, or turn static campaign assets into content that holds attention on a scroll-heavy feed. If you want a single animation with no connection to the rest of your marketing, another shop can do that. What we do differently is wire the motion to strategy and distribution from the start, so the finished piece has somewhere to work and something to prove.
Built to deliver.
Explainer and product videos that simplify a complex offer into a clear animated narrative, scripted and storyboarded before animation begins
Brand motion systems: animated logos, intros, and a reusable motion language that extends your visual identity into video and interface
Platform-native social animations sized for 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9, built to earn attention on a scrolling feed rather than repurposed after the fact
Data and infographic animation that turns numbers into motion viewers can follow and remember
Interface and UI motion: micro-interactions and transitions produced in step with the engineering studio so they ship into the real product, not a mockup
Script and storyboard development included, so the narrative and visual flow are approved before a single frame is animated
Full source-file delivery with every final render, complete ownership and no licensing strings

Script and storyboard
We map what the piece has to accomplish and where it will run, then write the script and storyboard the visual flow. You review and approve both before any animation starts, so there are no surprises later.
Design and animation
We build the visual system and animate it in your brand's style. Where the motion touches a live site or product, the Creative and engineering studios build it together so it ships cleanly.
Sound design
We add voiceover, music, and effects that match the pacing and tone. We can source professional voiceover or work with audio you already have.
Final rendering and handoff
We produce final files in every format and resolution you need, then hand over source files and renders in full. You own everything at delivery.

Start with Motion GraphicsAsked often.
Can I hire you for motion graphics alone, or does it have to be part of a bigger engagement?
You can hire us for motion on its own, and people do land here and buy exactly that. The reason we frame motion as part of the four studios is that it works harder when it is wired to strategy and distribution. If you have a landing page, a product, or a campaign the motion needs to serve, we connect to it. If you just need a well-built standalone animation, we build that too.
How do I know your motion is any good before I commit?
Look at the site you are on. The motion on rule27design.com is our own work, live in production. That is deliberate. Instead of showing you a reel of past clients, we show you the capability running on our own property, which is the most honest proof we can offer.
Do you write the script?
Yes. Scripting is included for explainer and brand videos, and you review and approve it before any animation begins. We start from what the piece needs to do, not from a template, so the story is built around your actual product and audience.
What art style do you work in?
We work in flat, modern, and character-based styles, and we match the style to your brand rather than forcing a house look. During discovery we share references and align on the right aesthetic for your audience before production.
What formats do you deliver, and do I own the files?
You get MP4 in every resolution you need, social cuts in 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9, high-resolution masters, and Lottie files for web animation where it applies. All source files and final renders are included, with full ownership and no licensing.
How long does a video take and what does it cost?
Most videos run two to four weeks depending on length, style, and how much scripting is involved. Projects start at $3,000 for a focused piece, $7,500 for a fuller production, and $15,000 and up for premium or multi-asset work. Every stage carries unlimited revisions and you approve before we move forward, so there are no surprises at delivery.
