Sunnyside Care Home • Growth Stage

Sunnyside Care Home has always been known for its compassion and dedication to residents, but their brand didn’t reflect the warmth people felt once they walked through the doors. The logo and color palette were dated, and the overall tone didn’t convey the trust and optimism families were looking for when choosing care for their loved ones. Sunnyside wanted to brighten things up, both visually and emotionally, and position themselves as professional yet approachable. The goal was simple: create a brand that matched the heart of their care and helped attract new families to their community.
At Rule27 Design, we set out to reimagine Sunnyside’s identity from the ground up. We created a new logo that felt fresh but familiar, paired with a friendly typeface and a bright, uplifting color palette inspired by the Arizona sun. Every element was chosen to communicate warmth, optimism, and trust. Beyond visuals, we refined the brand voice to sound more conversational and welcoming, professional but never clinical. The new identity gave Sunnyside a way to express who they truly are: A place where care feels personal and genuine.
Once the refreshed brand was ready, we helped Sunnyside bring it to life across every touchpoint including signage, uniforms, print materials, and digital platforms. The transformation was immediate. Staff members embraced the new look with enthusiasm, saying it made them feel prouder and more connected to their mission. Families responded to the warmth and clarity of the new brand, and the care home saw a noticeable increase in new inquiries. The Sunnyside rebrand became more than just a visual update; it became a reflection of their purpose. Bright, trustworthy, and human at its core, the new identity helped everyone who encountered Sunnyside feel what residents have always known: this is a place built on care.
